The Start of Hemingway Health

In February 2024, I decided to have another crack at entrepreneurship and started Hemingway Health as an online blog. Honestly, I didn’t even know why people had blogs, I just noticed a lot of influencers had them, so I thought I’d give it a shot. It was an attempt to document my journey and hopefully inspire others.

I wanted to become a fitness influencer. I ran my first marathon, then later that year had my first boxing fight in April, and pushed myself to run my first ultramarathon in June. My plan was to document my progress, turning my ultramarathon journey into a documentary to raise money for charity.

But about 10 days before the ultramarathon, everything fell apart. I could barely get out of bed. I was exhausted—mentally and physically. I stopped posting online, feeling embarrassed and nervous that I’d jeopardised the whole event.

I somehow completed the ultramarathon, but just a week later, I tore my meniscus. This marked the beginning of three months of burnout. I was constantly exhausted, falling asleep by 8:00 PM, crashing my car twice, and desperately seeking answers from doctors. My body had given up on me.

The Turning Point

After my meniscus repair later that year, I stumbled upon the 4 Pillars of Health. This discovery changed everything. It wasn’t just about physical fitness—it was about mastering Emotional Health, Physical Activity, Nutrition, and Sleep in a balanced way.

I realised my productivity struggles, burnout, and lack of purpose were all connected to my health. Once I started implementing these pillars, everything changed. I went from an exhausted, average university student to a high achiever with purpose and passion.

I became more connected to my environment, cut down my caffeine intake, and, despite not being able to run, got into the best shape of my life. The burnout disappeared, replaced by relentless drive and clarity of purpose.

The New Hemingway Health

It became clear that the traditional approach to productivity and success; working harder, pushing through burnout, and sacrificing health, was completely flawed. I realized that productivity and health actually go hand-in-hand.

This is when Hemingway Health was truly born. I rebranded my business to teach people how to reach peak performance by mastering health, energy, and workflow with a purposeful and bulletproof mindset.

I knew firsthand what it was like to feel stuck, exhausted, and purposeless. But I also knew the power of a balanced approach that prioritised health while achieving high output and success.

Today, my mission is to show ambitious people that it’s not only possible to stay productive while prioritising their health, but that it’s the key to reaching peak performance. I teach people the same 4 Pillars of Health that transformed my life, helping them master their energy, productivity, and mindset without burning out.
